Annelie Blumrich is a doctoral student at the Institute of Pharmacology/Center for Cardiovascular of the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin. She is wirting her doctoral thesis in the lab of Prof. Ulrich Kintscher. After her graduation in Biology from the Friedrich Schiller University Jena, she studied at the University of Virginia, USA. Subsequently she graduated as Master of Science in Molecular Medicine from the Charité-Universitätsmedzin Berlin, writing her thesis about the identification of molecular mechanisms of fatty acid-mediated cardiac hypertrophy. In 2015 Blumrich did a research stay at the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute in San Diego for 6 months.
