Dr. Lars Böckmann

Lars Böckmann is leading the Functional Genomics and Transcriptomics unit in the Section for Translational Surgical Oncology and Biobanking at the University of Lübeck and University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein, Campus Lübeck. After obtaining a Ph.D. in Biology at the University of Göttingen he received a postdoctoral training at the Center for Cancer Research, National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD, USA. His research includes the identification and analysis of cancer biomarkers, circulating tumor cells, and synthetic lethality with the aim to enhance precision medicine.
