Prof. Dr. Frederick Klauschen
Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin
After studying medicine and physics Frederick Klauschen worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the U. S. National Institutes of Health in computational systems biology. He then moved back to Germany and started his own group and a clinical residency at the Charité Institute of Pathology where he was appointed Professor of Molecular Pathology in 2016. His research focus is on identifying functionally relevant molecular alterations in tumors by combining genomic and proteomic profiling of patient tumor samples with imaging methods and computational modeling including machine learning.
His goal is to better understand causes of cancer on the molecular level and to propose custom-tailored targeted therapies for cancer patients.
At Future Medicine 2017 he will talk about Integrated Analysis of Morphological and Molecular Tumor Properties Through Machine Learning.
