Darío Garcia Lupiañez
Berlin Institute for Medical Systems Biology (BIMSB) / Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC)
Darío G. Lupiáñez obtained his PhD in 2011 at the University of Granada studying sex determination in the Iberian mole Talpa occidentalis. In 2012, he joined the Max Planck for Molecular Genetics in Berlin as a postdoctoral fellow, where he studied 3D chromatin organization and disease. Since, September 2017 he is an independent junior group leader at the Berlin Institute for Medical Systems Biology (BIMSB) – Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC). His group “Epigenetics & Sex Development” studies long range gene regulation in the context of disease and evolution.
At Future Medicine 2017 he will talk about "Structural Variation of the Human Genome: Order and Disorder"
