Carlo Jaeger is a sustainability scientist with a background in economics, sociology and human ecology.He is co-founder and chairman of the Global Climate Forum (GCF). Furthermore, he isProfessor at Potsdam University, Visiting Professor at the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Instituteof Sustainability, Arizona State University (ASU), as well as at the Beijing Normal University(BNU), where he has been appointed as outstanding foreign expert to the Chinesegovernment. He is a member of the Scientific and Technical Council of the International RiskGovernance Council (IRGC), and has served on the boards of various scientific organizations.His former positions include Head of the Research Domain ‘Transdisciplinary Concepts andMethods’ at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK); Professor at theUniversity of Darmstadt and Head of the Human Ecology Department at the Swiss FederalInstitute for Environmental Science and Technology.Carlo Jaeger’s current research is focused on problems of global coordination, especially inview of sustainable development. He is author or co-author of over 50 scientific papers andauthor of editor of over a dozen scientific books.
